![]()
For testing purposes, I am running a program in RobotStudio and using the IRC5 OPC UA server to instruct the robot in my simulation. The robot in Visual Components can execute its own program but that’s not the goal. Set robot in simulation to use external controller ![]() Generally, I use the Connected Variables panel, Prepared value column in Visual Components to quickly assign values to variables. You can also use the IO simulation tool in RobotStudio or teach pendant to set signals. Tip: Did you encounter an issue where a signal from sensor in simulation has a True value when you reset the simulation? You can use prepared values and/or modify the sensor to reset its signal when starting simulation. Generally, you will get an error if the connection is lost, there is a read/write operation not allowed by the server, or there is an issue with updating the variables such as a timeout or threshold for updating the pair is exceeded. If a red check mark is listed with a variable pair in your solution, mouse over the check mark to see info on the issue and try to resolve it. I used components from the Visual Components eCatalog to build the layout.
